I hope everyone is enjoying the fall weather,
A few moments ago, I was contemplating how God’s people often faced hardships. Sometimes, like father Abraham and Job; the hardships of God’s people only bring about a greater wealth, witness, and testimony. These types of hardships are not brought upon people to break them but to make them.
Consider James:
James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
The other type of hardships that Christians can come into is when God is trying to redirect their ways.
Revelation 3:19 - As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Then there is the wrath of God that comes upon the children of disobedience:
Colossians 3:6 - For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
If you are struggling… Seek the counsel of God. God is willing to help a person out when they seek Him in faith.
James 1:5-8
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”
God will make himself known to people when they seek Him with all their heart:
Jeremiah 29:13 - And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
